Sansonina 2017 Limited Edition is made from a selection of the best merlot grapes from our estate, where the unique composition of the soil rivals that of the world s most celebrated wine producing regions. After a spring marked by abnormal freezing spells, the season stabilized with a period of warmer temperatures interspersed by frequent rainfoll that provided excellent conditions far the growth and enrichment of the grapes. The harvest was dry and mild, which allowed the production of fewer grapes but of outstanding quality.
The aroma of the wine is a rich and mature expression of dark fruits, such as blackcurrant and preserved plums, with notes of spices and liquorish. On the palate, it combines with great balance the intensity of the mature fruits and a velvety structure thanks to the tannins. The finish is persistent and fruity, accentuated by a vibrant acidity which adds a touch of freshness. A wine that represents the quintessence of finesse and elegance, made with time and far time.
