Evaluna, Sansonina’s second red wine, was created with the aim of making people aware of the enormous potential of the land of Garda, historically highly regarded for its great white wines, but also perfect for cultivating red vines.
Obtained from a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc grapes, in different percentages depending on the vintage, it is the expression of an extraordinary terroir, strongly influenced by Lake Garda and the special clay composition of the soil. The grapes from the Cabernet Franc vine produce a wine with a ruby red colour, with good structure, a fulsome bouquet with hints of liquorice, freshly mown grass, berries and a pleasurable fresh taste, ready to drink; a velvety wine that brings great satisfaction to the nose.
The vinification of Cabernet Sauvignon produces a highly coloured wine, dense, with the characteristic taste of currants, good acidity and structure, and a significant tannin content, which makes this wine particularly interesting. Evaluna, a Garda red, displays the due complexity of an important international vine, yet it is easy to drink, fresh, elegant and sophisticated.
